What Insurace company do you use and whats your best rate?
« on: February 15, 2008, 08:41:55 PM »
Just kind of wondering whats out there for insurance and if I'm getting a ok deal.

I'm with the Co-Coperators and I pay about $374 a year for 750cc motorcycle sportbike class.

As I called up like 23 insurance companies when I first got my bike, I found that "AFC Insurance" was the cheapest for me for an 05 R1....... though 80 % of the ones I called had my bike black listed and would not cover it no matter how much I paid :p

why did they blacklist it?  I was looking at a Gixxer 1000 and most places were fine with that?  Also, mind if I ask what you are paying for a 1000CC?

Im with co-operators as well about the same around $370 per year PLPD only on a 650. I have heard if you also insure a vehicle with them you can get full coverage for about the same with State Farm. Know if theres any truth in that glacebay boi'? :) what are your bikes and do you have a car with them?

i have everything with state farm house,2 cars,3 bikes.
the price difference is because i am in ontario right now-the most expensive province for insurance-
when i had insurance back home i was paying 308dollars a year for full coverage on a 600 through clark insurance.

Hi, I am in the market for insurance as well.
With owning a Harley and only being 24, insurance is pretty high. I have found that A.A. Munroe Insurance in the cheapest. They are associated with Road Wings Motorcycle Insurance.
Because I am financing my bike, I have to FULL COVERAGE.
I was quoted $1291.00.  Primmum was the most expensive at $2267.

Thought I would share my experience with you all. Needless to say, I am going to go with A.A. Munroe.

May have to give them a call and see what the insurance would be on my bike.  Full coverage on my 750 was about $1700 with Co-OP I think

Co-Operators was $2000 FULL.  They suggested I contact 'Biker Friendly' insurance companies.
Primmum was one and A.A. Munroe was the other.
Good luck. Let me know how you make out DarkSoul.

I used to be with Primmum but didn't find them all that great for cost. Will be looking into new coverage this year to see if a better price somewhere.

Problem we have Carter is we own sportbikes which are at a greater risk.  Your's being a 1000CC makes it even harder to get a good deal on then my 750.  One of the main reasons that I didn't get a GSX-R 1000 when I was shopping around.

My biggest thing is that I have no motorcycle insurance records and I have had my license for a year and half.
I think $1291 for a complete newbie is pretty damn good.
