My New Ride for the Winter :P
« on: January 21, 2009, 04:11:21 PM »
Yep, got myself something to kill some time during the winter months.  Where I would as a Forestry Fire Fighter, I have way too much time on my hands during the winter, and I can't play with the Gixxer on the account of the cold and snow.  So that left 1 thing to do, buy a RC toy bike!  Picked it up in Truro for $40, and its damn awesome fun.  Steering is done by rider lean and breaking, so its pretty real that way.  Has full suspenssion, headlight, tail light (blinks between red and blue?), real rubber tires and rear race stand. Also comes with some training wheels untill you get the hang of it, then you can take them off and its just about as real as you can get without digging the bike out.  All and all, best $40 I have spent so far this year :D  Will try to get a short vid later on today to post up, it really is wicked fun, have had everyone in the Fire Department playing with it, lol

Yeah been kind of slow on that.  Tried 4 times to get a video, but the camera doesn't work so good when there isn't a lot of light.  So I need to get it out when its daylight, problem is I been playing with it at the Mall parking lot after it closes, lol and now the snow is making things hard.  Can always snap a qick vid of it doing donuts on my floor as the apartment is too small to actually get it to do anything else :P

Well I tried several times to get something outside, but with the snow and such it just ended up being pretty lame.  So heres a quick video of Mel's younger sister doing some dounuts on the floor of the entry way.

Do you control the rider with the remote. I see it moving on the bike or is it all automatic?

Cool though ..... I want one :D
